If I could give Ann Marie a million-star rating, I would! She is, without a doubt, the most exceptional, loving, kind, and knowledgeable nanny we have ever had the privilege of knowing! Ann Maire cared for my 4-month-old daughter while I transitioned back to work, and she gave me so much peace throughout the process. Her communication about my daughter (feedings, naps, diaper changes, and developmental activities) and her genuine love and knowledge of babies and children were priceless. She listened to my requests and the needs of my daughter so thoroughly. She supported my daughter's unique situation of being in a Ponseti abduction foot brace (when both feet are secured in a brace for positional correction), and she supported her development with age-appropriate activities such as discovery play, reading, songs, and toys. A few of the things that set Ann Marie apart from other nannies are: 1) She is incredible with children — Ann Marie understands the needs of infants and how to balance an ideal daily structure with play, sleep, feedings, outdoor time, and more. She knows how to identify and meet the unique needs of individual babies. 2) She is an outstanding communicator — She provided detailed, honest daily updates (photos, videos, and specific information about my daughter’s day). I never had to wonder what kind of day my daughter had. She sent me texts throughout my day, which brought me so much comfort at work. She also kept a detailed diaper-change record, which included when she changed my baby’s diaper and how many pees and bowel movements she had throughout the day. 3) Safety — Her instincts are exceptional. She has worked with many children and babies throughout her life and can anticipate hazards, and is proactive about creating safe environments for all situations (sleeping, eating, play, etc). This was HUGE for me, as I had a ton of anxiety about leaving my baby, but never once questioned my daughter’s safety with Ann Marie. 4) True partner with parents — Ann Marie ALWAYS supported me as a new mom and never once made me feel judged. Instead, she offered thoughtful suggestions when I had questions and always respected our parenting values while bringing her own wonderful ideas and experiences to the table. I truly do not have enough words to communicate how wonderful Ann Marie is as both a person and a nanny. Any family that has the opportunity and privilege to meet her or have her care for their child(ren) will be truly blessed with the BEST!
