For the past nine years, my career focus has been in teaching small groups of students as a Reading and Math Interventionist. I have found working with children in grades K-6, who struggle with these essential learning skills very awarding. The goal is to help your child develop into a confident learner through providing both knowledge of skills and encouragement. I'm looking for a job that will help a child struggling with reading or with math in the classroom. With reading, I have experience with phonics instruction and I find it that is fundamental, especially in the primary grades. I also teach reading comprehension as well as writing skills. As for math, I am familiar with the current math techniques. All I ask of my students is that they are respectful. One thing you should know about me is that I am a very conscientious person. Once I make a commitment I stick to it. I will always give 100% of my attention to your child and his tutoring needs.
