About Annie

As a homeschooled kid, I had the privilege to be able to learn a lot of different subjects that interested me at my own pace. The three that I felt most comfortable learning (and consequently teaching) were English, math, and music. In high school, I had a "tutor" of sorts for English and comp. I loved it so much that I would find her after our class period and help her write the lessons for the next week. I am a voracious reader of all sorts of genres, thanks to my parents reading to me as a child. It's helped me immensely growing up and I'm sure improved my English and grammar more than I'll ever know. Math has always been enjoyable for me, and I went into a math-heavy degree as my choice of majors in college (Accounting). And lastly, I've been playing the piano since I was 8 or 9 years old. I now play as a hobby, and it's a great source of joy for me. I will always be grateful that my parents had me take lessons as a kid. It was an investment that I can now fully enjoy as an adult.
