About Annie

I am a former bilingual (Spanish/English) elementary school teacher with expertise in social emotional development. I was a literacy lead at my school, and I excel in language learning and acquisition, including reading, writing, and public speaking. I am also well versed in the arts as a performer and producer and use tools from the arts discipline to help students learn, build their confidence, and find their voice. While I am not who you seek for higher level math tutoring, I am more than adept at helping with elementary school math. As an elementary school teacher, I am very comfortable and familiar with the "new math" that students are learning. I am also excited about history and science and love to help others find the hook that reels them into loving these disciplines. I deeply value the lessons that failure has to teach us and love to help others find the key to embrace and learn from it, rather than getting frustrated and discouraged. My students learn to love learning.
