From a young age, I have thrived in positions of care and connection. I yearned to be able to care for, have fun with, and learn alongside children. I am certified through Red Cross for babysitting since age 12. Other than formal training, I have worked with ages 5 months to 13 years old in babysitting and nannying positions. For the past four summers, I was a summertime nanny for three separate families, where I structured the days and weeks for fun, learning, and connection with other kids their age. Fun, caring, and education are my biggest values when working with any age of kids, where care and safety are of utmost priority.

Annika is very punctual, trust worthy, and responsive while watching our little one. She actively structures play and activities. She brings an incredible attitude with her every time! 

She is awesome and highly recommended! I hired her for one day afterschool for 3 hours. I felt very safe to leave my kids with her. My kids loved her and they wanted me to hire her again. 

The children had a great time and were safe and well cared for by Annika!

Annika is awesome! A year ago we hired her to "kid sit" our then 9 and 11 year old grandchildren who we had recently taken guardianship over.
A year later we still use her for date days and nights.
Annika is so much fun and always smiling! She comes prepared with card games, puzzles etc. Our grand kiddos always look forward to having Annika over. I highly recommend Annika for kids of any age!!

Annika has such a fun, energetic personality and I don't know if I've ever heard my toddler son giggle more than when she is helping us out! I appreciate that she takes him outside to play, even if the weather isn't perfect. She's a pleasure to be around and helps clean up the space after coming. Would definitely recommend her for the preschool age kiddos!! She's a gem!

My husband and I and our 2 daughters (2 and 4) just moved to Washington from Hawaii (where we're born and raised) last week. Part of this move was very much about self care and getting out and we have no family here. We needed someone for a date night (hopefully reoccurring) within a few days. From the booking to the babysitting to the end of our date, Annika was so great. My girls can be very shy with new people and they warmed right up within minutes. It was like magic. This was my first time ever hiring someone out of the blue without more than 30 minutes of "introduction," and I was pretty nervous about it. But this was seamless and I hope for many more date nights with my children in Annika's care again. She is definitely a natural with children and is very professional. Definitely will be booking again ASAP. :)

I met Annika though Girl Scouting events. She is creative, fun, empathetic, an active listener, understanding and an all around good person. I highly recommend her!

It can be a little uncomfortable hiring a caregiver off of the internet, so I want to help you make an informed decision. Annika provided us with date night child care for our eight year old son. She was very responsive, friendly, and professional during our initial conversations. I spoke with all of her references; they had wonderful things to say about her. She arrived a few minutes prior to our scheduled time, brought our own games, and immediately began to build rapport with the kiddo. He absolutely loved her and her games, and asked when she was coming back again next time.
