I'd describe my personality as cheerful, empowering and supportive. I have been a K-3rd grade teacher for 18 years. I have enjoyed teaching because I want every child to believe in their ability to learn and grow. It's rewarding to help them develop confidence and a can-do attitude that carries beyond the classroom. I'm looking for a job where I can help kids build skills and confidence to thrive in the year ahead. I started tutoring when a child I knew had to stay home from school due to hospital treatments for an illness. I was asked to homeschool him in reading and writing. My skills include breaking down concepts in a way students understand, offering targeted practice, and building strong, supportive relationships with them.
