About Ann

I have been in a Montessori elementary classroom since 2000. I have worked in many states and in two countries, so I have worked with a variety of families, children, and cultures. I have an internationally accepted credential to teach elementary ages 6 to 12, but I have also spent time in a classroom with children younger than six. Some of my writing lessons and note-taking lessons would extend beyond sixth grade, too. The Montessori method is intended for the whole child, not just academically, but also socially and emotionally. If you want to learn more about this method of education, I can give you sources of information and share more about it in person/on the phone. I work to use your child's interests to learn new skills and reinforce previously presented lessons. Preserving curiosity and a love of learning is important. My strengths are writing, research, reading, and math.
