About Ashley

Growing up, I often was left in charge of the younger siblings of the boys in my brother's Boy Scout Troop. I started babysitting in my sophomore year of high school, taking on the rambunctious group of 4 kids next door (ages 8-12) where I picked them up from school, cared for, and tutored them until their parents come home for work. While in college, I worked in residential psych, where I spent a year working the child and adolescent units (ages 3-17) in a behavioral psychiatric hospital and three years at the local youth shelter where I worked with youth (ages 10-21) in the foster system and probation care. While there, I learned how to supervise and manage a group of 6+ youth on my own, de-escalate any situation, provide a therapeutic environment, and even how to safely do CPI certified physical holds when a youth becomes a danger to themself or someone else. I'm also great with pets and do not mind helping take care of pets in addition to your kids.
