I love working with kids because they aren't afraid to ask questions, try out new theories, and utilize their curiosity to learn their likes and dislikes. I realized that children teach me as much, if not more, than I teach them. Viewing the world from their standpoint is fantastic; everything feels so light, looks so colorful, smells so fresh, and nothing is disappointing because everything is equally okay. I started working with kids when I was 15 years old. I first began with volunteering at Ann-Reid Childcare Center and babysitting after school, then after high-school I became a full-time nanny. I have been a nanny ever since! I have experience working with kiddos on the spectrum from my history of being a Registered Behavioral Technician and center coordinator at an autism care clinic. In my spare time, I love to dabble in different art mediums, from ceramics to jewelry making. I love exploring new paths and creeks, taking courses that interest me, and reading fiction novels.

Ashley is a wonderful babysitter. She has been working with my family as a date night and occasional daytime sitter for a little over a year now and my two daughters, 8 and 3, adore her. She is an active participant with their play, has fun and engaging ideas to do with them, and guides them to resolution during disagreements. My daughters are always excited to learn when she is coming over. I have been impressed with Ashley’s ability to multitask when working with both my girls and their differing ages. No one ever feels left out or favored. I highly recommend her for any childcare position. With my background in early childhood and elementary education I am always on the look out for a sitter who is engaging and creative. Ashley is definitely that person.
