About Ashley

Care giving is my nature as well as my work in the world. I am reliable, respectful, patient, and intuitive, at ease in most circumstances, and happy to learn. Most of my professional life has been as a pastor in Presbyterian churches. Care giving for the emotional, social, and spiritual lives of all ages and abilities was central to this work. Between college and graduate school, I was a live in caregiver for a couple in their 80s, one of whom could not walk or speak because of a stroke. For the past 5 years, I have been the primary caregiver for my mother as she required 24/7 care for symptoms of Parkinson's disease and dementia. Managing medicines, housekeeping, meal preparation, assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, eating, and most importantly offering companionship and respect are what I will happily bring as a caregiver.
