About Ashley

Hello! I earned my Ph. D. in Public Health last year and have more than a decade of higher education, including a B. S. in Psychology and an M. P. H. I love teaching and helping students build confidence in their learning. I'm patient, kind, and adapt my approach by explaining concepts in multiple ways until I find what best fits the student's learning style. I have experience tutoring children as young as elementary school through graduate students, including casual tutoring for my younger brother and children I've nannied. My strongest areas are social sciences, health topics, and statistics (with experience in advanced statistical software), but I also support general elementary academics. I enjoy using online tools and resources to keep sessions engaging, and I often rework homework or test questions with students to strengthen understanding. I also know some Spanish and American Sign Language.
