I have worked with so many different animals while assisting families in their homes. I myself had always had cats since childhood and grew up around big dog breeds. As an adult, I owned a Neapolitan Mastiff who inherited a skin condition which caused itchy rash wounds. I took him mainly to a more holistic vet, which proved it was an allergy to something in the food. We switched foods numerous times and eventually I started him on a raw diet, which was a hard labor of love. We loved taking him to the lake and dog parks despite his size and overly social personality. Foods Your Pets Die For is a great book for any pet owner, which I read early in my adult life and immediately switched my cat's food. I have a great understanding of each type of animal needs and likes and love playing and cuddling them.
