About Ashlynn

Hello, I am a recent Cognitive Sciences graduate from UC Santa Cruz. I have always loved spending time with those who are older and wiser than me. I was extremely close with my grandmother and acted as her part time care giver while she battled dementia and other diseases during hospice. In addition to working with my grandmother, I have also served as a caregiver to my uncle who had Down Syndrome. In my senior year of college I worked as an intern at a memory care facility where I was able to further learn and practice the best ways to care for those dealing with cognitive decline and other aging disorders. Thanks to these experiences, and training courses in CPR and First Aid, I feel well versed and prepared to help anyone in need of some extra care. I fully understand the weight that can be put on a family when trying to care for an elderly member, and I can help take some of that load off as well as provide companionship and help your family member regain a sense of independence.
