About Astrid

Hi, I'm Astrid! I'm an occupational therapy student, and I just moved to Philadelphia. I'd be honored to spend time with your older loved ones! I've done in-home companion care with older adults for about two years, throughout my training to become an occupational therapist. Services can range from house cleaning, organization, home decorating (i. e. setting up heavier devices, moving furniture, hanging wall art, etc), to good old fashioned conversation. Happy (and excited!) to go on out-of-home excursions as well-to the grocery store, a museum, thrift mall, you name it! In school, I've worked with older adults in the hospital, clinic, and in the community. I have specialized training for working with people with dementia, mobility limitations (including using wheelchairs and lifts), and low vision.
