I have recently worked in the District of Columbia Public Schools where I was a literacy Interventionist for 20 students, Pre-K through 3rd grade. We focused on phonics, pronunciation, partnered reading and so on. We also had collaborative games such a a "Speeding Bee" which is a really fast Spelling Bee and also "Lets Make a Sentence" where I placed an object based on our studies or reading in front of the student and the student created a sentence using the object and our Word of the Day.
