About Avery

I'd describe my personality as kind, empathetic, and funny I like tutoring because I struggled in the early years of my education and overcame those obstacles because people invested in me. I want to do that for others! I started tutoring when I was in high school. I lived in a large neighborhood with primarily young children, many of which needed help with their homework. From there I started tutoring them in tough subjects as needed! My skills include patience, empathy, and communication. No child should ever feel less than or hopeless because they struggle with class material. I prioritize finding a communication style that makes sense to the student. I can tutor in all 4 basic subjects (math, science, social studies, and English) and beginner level Spanish.
