Previous babysitting jobs and being the oldest of five children solidified my desire to positively impact young lives. Avery has been caring for my son as a babysitter for all five years of his life. I think this alone says a lot about her adaptability as the job presents different challenges at every age. A few times, she has had my nieces and nephews thrown into the mix and handled that beautifully as well. She is smart, funny, enthusiastic and responsible. My son was born via cesarean section during the pandemic. Every morning of my maternity leave, Avery was at my house at seven so that I could shower, eat or just sleep until it was time for her to log on for virtual classes. I have known Avery her whole life, but even so, you don’t trust a sixteen year old with your newborn unless you know you can rely on their judgement. I know that any parent would be lucky to have Avery caring for their family.
