About Avery

Avery is unbelievable! They have nannied for us 5 days a week from 9-5 from when my daughter was 14 months until she started school at 22 months. I have honestly avoided writing a review because I want them to work for us forever! From the minute they walked through the door they ran over to my daughter and sat down with her and I think became best friends instantly. I was so impressed with how Avery interacted with my then 14-month old, looking at a book together and not just reading it, but pointing out things (such as look the shirt is blue! Can you see something else that’s blue? It’s the sky!). They really know the best way to play with a baby while also teaching, just like a great parent would. Pretty much every day Avery would take my daughter to the park, even in cold weather, and would have so much fun that my daughter who now needs to go to the park every single day. Avery is also really outgoing and engaging with my daughter, playing games like chasing each other or bouncing on the bed (with my permission) and laughing the whole time. My daughter always is laughing when Avery is playing with her or singing a silly song. Another great thing about Avery is that they are always completely present. They never have their phone out unless my daughter wants to hear music and even that is rare (they usually use our Spotify instead). They are never on their phone even to check text messages until my daughter would be napping. I am guilty of checking my phone while watching her sometimes, and Avery never did. That was amazing and also kept our daughter completely safe. Avery also is great at following any guidelines or instructions you have, whether that is what to feed your child or how to give medicine or getting back at a certain time for lunch so we can prep for her nap. I loved that everything felt really natural and flowed so well. Soon after Avery started, we really felt like a team and I always appreciated that. Avery is also a wonderful human being. They are so kind and compassionate, and really share our values, which is so important when interacting with a young child. I worked from home so, even though Avery and my daughter took walks and went to the park every day, I still interacted with them a lot and really consider them a friend. To me, it is so important to work with someone you really like and trust! We love Avery so much even asked them if they could work once a week for after school park time ( which they were so happy to do!) until they got full time work. We miss Avery so much and my daughter still asks for them all the time. Avery is such a blessing in my daughter’s life and feels like family. We feel so close that we plan on seeing each other even though we no longer need a nanny. I’m sure if you hired them you would feel the exact same way! And you would be unbelievably lucky to have someone as caring, fun, outgoing, and game for anything your kid wants to do in your life. You will love them and I’m sure your kids will love them too!
