Need a babysitter for date night or an occasional night nurse just so you can get a little extra sleep? I'm your girl! My name is Azariah and I am a RN in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU nurse) at Magee Women's Hospital. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with my BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). I have 3 years of experience working with premature infants all the way up to 1-year-olds. I have worked as a NICU nurse for 1 1/2 years and before then I worked as a NICU Patient Care Technician prior to that. I have experience babysitting infants in the home setting as well as some experience babysitting toddlers too. I am CPR/BLS, NRP, and First Aid certified. Azariah helped care for our daughter when she was an infant, and she is truly a gem. I was working from home at the time, so Azariah and I worked closely together to make sure my daughter’s needs were met throughout the day. Anything I asked of Azariah, whether making sure our daughter got tummy time, reading books with her, or ensuring she had time outside, she not only made sure it happened, but responded with a smile and reassurance that the things I was asking for were good for my daughter’s development. She did everything with such a positive attitude and genuine warmth that immediately put me at ease. Azariah instinctively knew how to keep my daughter calm and happy, whether that meant singing to her, rocking her, or taking her for a walk outside. She also went above and beyond to keep me informed about how my daughter was doing while I was busy working. As a first-time mom, hiring someone to help care for my baby was a big emotional step for me, and I’m so grateful that my first babysitter/nanny experience was with Azariah. Not only was she wonderful with my baby, she was also a tremendous support to me as a sleep-deprived, nervous new mother. She showed incredible patience, grace, and positivity, which meant more to me than I can put into words. When she moved on to begin her job as a neonatal nurse (which I knew she’d be amazing at), it was hard to say goodbye. If she hadn’t moved, I would have kept her with our family for as long as possible. We feel incredibly lucky to have had such a kind and trustworthy caregiver for our daughter, and I would recommend Azariah without hesitation to any friend looking for exceptional care for their baby or child.
