About Ben

I've worked in Education for over a year with the MPL Education & Outreach Department and before that I was a volunteer reading tutor with Forward Scholars in MPS. But before that, I was and am and forever will be a reader and a student. I believe in a constructivist approach to learning, one where a student discovers in themselves the power to discover the world around them. That to me is the ultimate goal. When I'm not working, I read. I have a formidable personal library in the apartment I share with my girlfriend and 3 cats. I tend to read several books spanning multiple genres and purposes at the same time. I've been told I'm a good teacher, that I have an incomparable enthusiasm when it comes to reading, and that I'm the kind of person who can't let any bad day sour his smile. I may have been told all this, and it may just be hearsay, but nonetheless I can't say I disagree.
