About Bernadette

I describe my personality as bright, fun, and loving. I like tutoring because making a one on one connection is not just fun, but essential to academic growth. I'm looking for a job that approaches grade levels 1-6. Or, 1st grade preparation. I specify in ELA. I love to make learning spelling, reading, writing, and reading comprehension skills extra fun. I started tutoring as a paraprofessional for a student with special needs, in Baltimore County Public Schools in 2009. He required a specific space and instruction at his one pace. In my spare time, I like to walk all the way around the park, about 5 miles. Or, just take it easy laying on a blanket reading or writing. One thing you should know about me is I come from a four generations strong teaching family. My aunt calls it or 'family business'. I think that teaching is just what we like to do. Makes me happy. My skills include an engaging approach to lessons, great listening skills, and a positive 'can-do' attitude.
