Hi, I have been working with kids for about 8 years now! I have previous experience caring for children 3 months to 7 years of age at home as well as in group care settings. Most of my experience has been with infants and toddlers (my favorite age range)! I am passionate about helping children explore their world and supporting them in their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. In my work, I aim to build relationships built on trust and mutual respect, as well as foster an environment where children feel safe to learn and be authentically themselves. I enjoy being an active caregiver, doing age-appropriate activities like spending time outside, going to the park, reading, listening to music, helping conduct activities as well as arts and crafts! Additionally, I have 1 year of experience as a certified nursing assistant working with adults with a wide array of care needs, including dementia. Bess is a wonderful caregiver for our 7 month old son. She is kind, thoughtful, intentional, creative, and knowledgeable. I really appreciate how she engages with our son and truly seems to enjoy spending time with him and helping him grow. At the end of each day, she takes the time to summarize the days events and provides great insight and detail into how they spent their day together. Bess is also helpful during nap times and is always staying busy with laundry, organization, etc. She is amazing and I highly recommend her!
