Experience: 10 yrs
Hello, my name is Beth. I am a kind, patient, and compassionate caregiver with over 20 years of experience serving seniors, treating them with empathy and respect. I am dedicated to helping clients maintain dignity and enjoy life, often going above and beyond to ensure they stay happy and safe in their own homes-the way I would care for my own family. My expertise covers Complex Care (Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Stroke, Hospice), Clinical Skills (medication administration including insulin, vitals, first aid, oxygen, g-tubes, Hoyer lifts, suction machines), Daily Support (personal care, meals-my clients love my cooking!-light housekeeping, laundry, errands), and Companionship/Transportation. I am a non-smoker, honest, dependable, and punctual, with reliable transportation. My background check and reviews are on Care. com. Rates depend on care needed and mileage. I would be honored to make a positive impact on your loved one's journey.
Beth came to work in my home to help with care for my elderly father who suffered from quickly advancing Alzheimer’s. She was a part of our home for 2 years, but with the recent unfortunate passing of my father it is time for her to move on to another deserving family. Beth’s compassion and empathy fly far above most humans capacities. Especially towards the end, my father became increasingly difficult in all ways possibly, including his attitude. As soon as Beth walking in the door in the morning he was happy as he could be. She spent so much time and had so much patience with him he would actually smile again when she was around. Not to mention the woman can cook, my father started preferring her meals over mine, he would actually eat for her, which because very difficult to get him to do. She covered may things in and around our home. She took full day time care of my father everything from making sure he took him medications, getting him outside regularly (another thing he became very difficult with), all ADL’s (dressing, complete showering, meal making, laundry, change sheets, along with a million other large and small things). Beth never missed a single day of work in 2 years and not once was she ever late. She typically would show up early and make sure everything was ready for him to get up and be set for his needed daily routine that he was very stubborn about. She was also almost always available for us if we needed/wanted her for OT or if we wanted to just have a date night. She stayed over night many many times. Sometimes for a night, sometimes for a week when we would go out of town. Beth took special care of our animals every day she was here. Due to work schedules, Beth would feed all of my animals (2 dogs and 2 parrots) every morning and then also when we were gone. She also took one of my dogs home with her for a week once when we had to leave unexpectedly. I have never trusted anyone more in my home especially alone with my father and animals, than I do Beth. Beth is extremely reliable, trustworthy, easy to get along with, willing to go the extra mile always, takes fabulous care of your loved one and your home. I can not find enough words to explain how wonderful it was to have found her and have her in our home with my father for 2 years. We truly feel like she had become part of our family, and it has been almost as hard not having her in our home everyday as not having my father. You can’t go wrong with her. She is still checking in on me on a very regular basis (due to the loss) and has come by to visit and check in and see if I needed anything. She will always be considered family and she will be the only person we ever trust in our home and with our animals when we are away. I hope your family is lucky enough to snag her and treat her right. She will take great care of you and yours.
