About Betsy

Hi! I'm a certified preschool special education teacher going into my third year of teaching. I have a Master's degree in Curriculum Leadership and Instruction and a strong background supporting learners with a wide range of needs. Before teaching, I spent two years as an aide in a high-functioning autism program (grades K-5) and have also worked in summer school settings with students who have significant disabilities. My passion lies in meeting children where they are and helping them grow through individualized, engaging instruction. I offer tutoring in: • Early childhood foundational skills (literacy, numeracy, motor skills) • Special education support (IEP goals, communication systems, behavior strategies) • General subject tutoring for young learners (PreK-2nd grade) • Kindergarten readiness • Social skills and emotional regulation
