Experience: 10 yrs
Making a real difference in someone's life is what drives me. For the past 10 years, I've been dedicated to providing compassionate home health support, and I'm passionate about helping adults and seniors maintain their independence and well-being. My experience includes everything from errands and light housekeeping to meal preparation and mobility assistance. I am also experienced in dementia care, including adapting to changing routines, de-escalating stressful situations, and handling confusion. I prioritize earning trust when connecting with care recipients. I keep families informed with verbal updates, regular texts, or phone calls, always following their preferred method. I am patient, calm, friendly, and approachable. I also have CPR and First Aid certifications. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. I speak both English and Spanish. Knowing I can bring comfort and peace of mind to your family is why I do what I do.
Our family had the pleasure of working with Betzaida (Betsy) for over a year. She had been caring for our mother, who recently passed at age 100. Betsy is an empathetic, helpful, loving individual. As a CNA, she kept a careful watch on our mother’s health and condition, noticing changes in her behavior, body, and mind. Oftentimes, Betsy would alert us to urinary tract infections, bed sores, fluid build-up, and changes in our mother’s moods, such that we could seek the proper medical care as needed. When our mother was moved into an assisted-living facility, Betsy would make sure she was taken care of properly by staff, and was great conduit between our family and the facility. She is a great communicator, and a hard worker, who made herself available to our family and was flexible with her time. Our mother loved Betsy—Betsy kept our mom’s spirits high, made sure she socialized, cooked for her, did her laundry, kept conversations positive, and gave her massages. Our mother was always clean and well dressed. Betsy took such pride in our mom’s care and appearance. If our mother needed any new piece of geriatric equipment, or supply, Betsy would contact me, immediately. We are confident that Betsy will provide amazing assistance to another fortunate senior and their family. We miss her.
