Before attending graduate school for my master's degree in special education, I was the program manager for a residential home where four women lived. Two of the women had Down syndrome and Alzheimer's, another was wheelchair bound and non-verbal, and the last client was also non-verbal. I provided all support to these women and cared for them as if they were family, and with dignity, respect, patience, and kindness.
