As my parents' dementia progressed, Brandi excelled at keeping them engaged and happy. She used creative and joyful methods to support them, from singing songs and discussing "the old times" to reading novels aloud and playing their favorite card games. She is highly experienced with medical and assistive equipment, including foley catheters, oxygen, nebulizers, hospital beds, and incontinence supplies. Brandi also ensured their safety during transfers and assisted them as they transitioned to using walkers and rollators. As their needs changed, she managed their nutrition by preparing soft or puréed foods and found creative, effective ways to administer medication. Brandi also demonstrated exceptional skill in supporting my parents while they were under hospice care.
