About Brandie

I have been caring for people in various capacities for over 20 years. The majority of my career has been working with those with special needs. Of those with special needs that I work with most are autistic. I have worked in a variety of settings including in home, schools (elementary and middle), group home and in office (ABA therapy). About 7 years ago, I worked with a woman who had dementia. I was companion care for her. I prepared several meals and made her feel comfortable in her home. Last year my dad fell and broke his femur. His mobility has decreased over time. After he came home I helped care for him as well. Now I help him once a week, doing chores, preparing food and making sure his home is safe for him. One thing you should know about me is I am very easy going. I am there to help the families to have a good experience during my time there. I am very compassionate and work to help the person I am caring for to feel seen and heard.
