About Brenda

My love for working with seniors came from a very personal experience. My parents were both diagnosed with cancer two weeks apart. Breast cancer for my mom, and lung cancer for my dad. I was 19 years old. Shortly after my dad passed, I became a state tested nursing assistant. Over the next several years, working in different nursing homes, I gained valuable experience, and made priceless memories with my seniors. I have also done private duty home health as well. My experience as an Activity Director allowed me to get to know the seniors on a more personal level. This would allow me create a personal care plan according to their likes and dislikes. I feel it is very important to keep our seniors as active and engaged as possible.
