About Brooke

For over a decade, I've found immense joy in nurturing children's growth and development. I am currently a pediatric oncology nurse, and have been for the past three years, at UNC Children's hospital. Since I was 16 years old, I have worked with children in many different avenues including as a swim instructor, summer camp counselor, pre-school teacher, nanny, and more. I am pursuing my Master's in Nursing from Duke to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. I have also obtained a graduate certificate from UNCC in Early Childhood Mental Health. My educational background paired with my work experience has enabled me to successfully provide attentive and informed care for children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. I am comfortable caring for up to three children at a time. I am also comfortable with pets. I hope to expand my ability to care for families beyond my work in the hospital, showing patience, grace, and creating joy!
