About Carla

We cannot recommend Carla enough! We hired Carla to be a full-time nanny to our twin boys starting when they were around 16 months old. In addition to having heard rave reviews from a previous family she worked with, our interview and conversations with Carla demonstrated a high level of responsibility, familiarity, and adaptability. Our family was the first for her with twins, and caring for twins comes with unique challenges. One thing I know she was nervous about was feeding the boys, up to that time my husband and I had been feeding them at the same time-now with us at work, it would be her on her own. Within two-days she had it down, and the boys were none the wiser about the slightly off-paced feeding schedule. Carla was attentive to our family, flexible when schedules changed, and willing to work additional hours (paid appropriately through her employment contract) on evenings and weekends as needed. Carla became a part of our family, but our growing family needed more space. When we moved, it added too much time to an already difficult commute. It was understandable when Carla put in her resignation with us, but she made sure to give us a lot of time to find a daycare. In some ways, it worked our perfect. In those little months when the boys needed to be held, fed, and kept close-she did exactly that. When she moved on, the boys were about to turn two and were ready for a classroom setting with more peers! Carla was a lifesaver, a truly skilled nanny, and a good friend to our family. Honestly, as first time dads we could never have done it without her.
