About Carly

As the oldest daughter of eight I can confidently say I have been changing diapers since I was 10 years old. In the last five years I've had the pleasure of caring for children of all ages--whether as a monitor for high school students, a teacher's aide for elementary level Special Education students, or an assistant in the baby room at a nursery. I love science experiments, nature walks, read alouds, and the occasional bubble party. I believe respect and open communication between all members of a child's care team is key to success in both school and home. I am happy to send updates throughout the day or give a detailed report at pickup. I have an English Lit BA and I am going back to school (online) in May for my teaching certification for Students with Disabilities. I have been trained in CPR and First Aid, but am currently being recertified. I am certified in TCIS and am familiar with CPI and SCIP. I am comfortable caring to up to four children.
