Carmen has been my child's nanny for about a year. She has been a tremendous nanny for my son, who is now 15-months and will be starting daycare soon. She has been so patient, warm and nurturing through my son's difficult times (tantrums, difficulty sleeping). She is always very playful with him, and understands the importance of talking, singing and reading to babies. She never uses the TV. She has taken care of him in the mornings, which included the morning nap, play time, walks to the park nearby, and she always takes the initiative of looking through the fridge for healthy options for his snack. She has also been helpful around the house, when I need an extra helping hand with dishes, laundry or picking up toys. Her pleasant and happy demeanor makes it is easy to enjoy her presence in my home. She has babysat at night for us once in a while, and there is no one else (aside from family) with whom I would feel comfortable leaving my children. Even though my older son goes to preschool, she engages with him when he is around, makes him feel important too, and can easily take care of both when needed. Always punctual, and very dependable.We have been very lucky to have her care for our baby on a daily basis, and for both our sons when babysitting occasionally at night. We will miss her. Carmen is working for me as a part time caregiver for my 6 yr old daughter. We couldn't be happier! She is kind and fun as well as responsible. My daughter has a hard time warming up to people buy she loved Carmen from day one. She truly has a mothers instinct so I can always trust her to make good choices. Carmen worked for me as a nanny for my son who was 10 months old when she started. She "lived in" so I got to know her very well.  I traveled for my job, so it was important for me to have someone that I trusted 100% with my child in my absences;  Carmen was that person.  She took excellent care of my son and didn't just meet his needs -- they had fun, she played games and took him on excursions and outings.  She was there when he learned his first word and when he took his first steps.  Moreover, she was a warm, caring person, who treated him like her own son.  She was conscientious, considerate, had a good sense of humor  and  became a member of our family.  I could not recommend anyone more highly.

Carmen has served our school community as a Yard Duty Supervisor.  She is a dependable and dedicated employee.  She truly cared for our students and they cared about Carmen in return.
