About Carol

I have taught elementary grades all subjects for 15 years. I mainly do reading, phonics, grammar, and math. I'd describe my personality as detailed, fun, patient . I like tutoring because I feel fulfilled helping children overcome educational struggles and helping them gain confidence I'm looking for a job that either can be done online or in person in my home or theirs. I started tutoring when I decided to no longer teach in the classroom. I have done about 10 years of tutoring including recently. In my spare time, I like to play piano, read, enjoy my grandchildren, puzzles, and classic movies. One thing you should know about me is last year I broke vertebrae in my back so I'm mending from that. It has not hindered me from tutoring or driving. I have plenty of energy to tutor and plan interesting lessons . My skills include getting rapport with my students, patiently teaching them, listening to their concerns and building confidence.
