About Carrie

I am attentive, compassionate, and respectful. I have children with disabilities so I have years of practice with patience and routines. I am happy to accommodate clients who like things "a certain way" or who have been labeled "fussy". No smoking or cats/dogs, as I am allergic. I started caregiving in 2000, in a group home for people with disabilities. I have experience with inpatient rehab, nursing home care, assisted living, and home care as well. I've worked with patients with developmental disabilities, spinal cord injuries, head injuries, dementia, ALS, etc. In my spare time, I like to read, knit, crochet, garden and bake! I also have backyard chickens. I always put my clients wants and needs first. Independence, dignity and agency are very important to me. I am not there to give orders or make the client do anything. My skills include cooking, housekeeping, laundry, personal care, bathing. I am first aid and CPR certified, and a certified HHA.
