Hi! My name is Carrie, and I love spending time with kids. I've taught art (encaustic painting, jewelry making, metalsmithing) to a variety of age groups since I was 14. I've babysat since I was 16. In 2023, I started working as an elementary school science teacher, and fell in love with it. Since then I have gone on to teach my own small group science and art classes to homeschoolers and one on one classes incorporated into my babysitting work. I love exploring the natural world with kids and believe their perspectives and observations are as valuable as any science class I've ever taken. I can't wait to get to know your child more! I'd describe my personality as deeply curious, energetic, and creative. In my spare time, I like to roller skate, make jewelry, go for long walks, and read.

Carrie is a true gem. She was so engaged with our son, extremely present and sincere. Whenever she came over, he’d be bubbling with enthusiasm and creative energy. He really bonded to her in a special way and still tells me that she makes the best broccoli.
