About Catalina

I began babysitting and nannying at 11 for families at my mother's school. In college, I studied theater and psychology, combining creativity with a technical understanding of child development. I continued nannying through college and grad school before working as a teacher's aide in a Chicago pre-K-8 school, focusing on pre-K and 2nd grade. After moving to New York, I led a preschool classroom at a progressive Brooklyn school. In 2022, I transitioned back to individual care, first with a family of two (ages 2 and 5), and now full-time with my current family. I've cared for children ages 1-12, providing tutoring, feeding, diapering, play, bathing, and sleep routines. I'm CPR and First Aid certified. I am passionate about working with children with a plan to pursue a degree in child therapy. I'm creative, adaptable, and align with each family's philosophy, setting compassionate boundaries while fostering confidence, joy, and growth in every child I care for
