About Catie

I am an elementary teacher, with a Montessori Certification. I look for your child's innate strengths and work there to first build a positive relationship and then guide them with the tools and skills they may need to experience success. I'd describe my personality as compassionate, helpful, creative. I like tutoring because I enjoy meeting a child where they are and walking with them in their learning. I'm looking for a job that matches my hours as I teach. I started tutoring when I was a homeschool teacher in 2019. I also have my own children and homeschooled them for a time as well. In my spare time, I like to practice yoga, dance, hike or ski, and to swim in the summer. One thing you should know about me is I care very much about socio-emotional learning. I believe this is the basis for all learning and it's woven through the work I do. My skills include knowledge of multiple intelligences, a socio-emotional approach, and a breadth of knowledge in Elementary Education.
