I have 7 years working with my in-laws starting early 90s. Both lived well into their late 90's., 99 years old. They lived with my husband and me. They received 24-hour care if needed. I helped with laundry, preparing meals, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, showers, and doctor appointments, and loved them. I have experience with dementia clients. We took them on long walks in their wheelchairs. They were not capable of walking long distances. Their pastime hobbies were puzzles, playing cards, and enjoying life. I am following my passion for seniors. One of my great rewards is helping seniors live independently and stay in their homes. I am available day and evening hours. Charlotte says she takes care of people as if they were family, and I truly feel that she has done just that! She's helped me care for my 86 y/o husband who's in hospice. She's helped keep me on track because I'm clueless about eldercare, and she helped make it waaaay less stressful. My husband has been home less than a week and I feel like Charlotte has made our life so much more enjoyable. She's sharp as a tack and remembers things that I've wanted to do but forgot. Charlotte is trustworthy, kind, and loves to care for both of us. I am sometimes overwhelmed and she takes care of my mind as well as my husband's since he has dementia and is bedridden.
