About Chatika

I'm a Certified Teacher for Chicago Public Schools with six years of experience. I've been teaching first grade for the last six years. My license allows me to teach kindergarten to sixth grade. I was a math teacher for three years and a self contained teacher teaching all subjects for three years. I teach children how to thrive successfully inside of the classroom and outside of the classroom. I have a strong foundation in all subjects, reading, math, social studies, and science. I've successfully helped students achieve academic growth through both whole group instruction and one-on-one support. I bring patience. adaptability, and a strong knowledge of curriculum standards, which I believe are key qualities in an effective tutor. I'm excited about the opportunity to apply these skills in a tutoring setting, where I can personalize strategies to help students build confidence and reach their full potential.
