Over the past 6 years, we been so lucky to have Cheryl as not only our nanny but a member of our family. I can only imagine that as a family searching for a new nanny, you are looking for someone who cares deeply, goes above and beyond, and has years of experience caring for children. Cheryl embodies all of those attributes. Cheryl came into my life 30+ when she started working for my family as a live-in nanny; I have always considered her a second mother. Six years ago, when I had my own daughter, I could think of no one I would rather have taking care of my child than Cheryl. As luck would have it, my dreams came true and Cheryl was available. As a new mother, Cheryl was a godsend. She has a beautiful way with infants and has so much experience working with young children. She helped us get our daughter on a routine, transition to the crib, wean from the bottle, care for her when she was sick. When I had my second child, she did the same – bringing calm and care to our home. As our daughter got older, Cheryl helped our daughter grow into the confident, imaginative, and kind child she is today. She listened to our daughter, comforted her on hard days, knew what made her tick, and deeply, deeply cared for her – a mom’s dream come true. And she did the same for my second child – celebrating with us when he crawled and walked for the first time, taking care of him when he had a cold, teaching him how to be kind. She took my kids to the park every day, picked up my daughter from school, did arts and crafts, took them on special outings like to the pumpkin patch or out to lunch. She never missed a dance recital or outing She made their days happy and special, making friends with the other nanny’s and mom’s in their classes and arranging meets up and play dates. Other parents in their classes would often tell me how attentive Cheryl was to our kids, how it was so clear she was going the extra mile, her love for them evident in every interaction. We often say that as two introvert parents, Cheryl’s outgoing and energetic personality helped our kiddos get out of their shells. And Cheryl does so much more for our family than just watching my kids during the day. She takes care of all of us. When we come home from work, the house is always spotless, dishes done, laundry (the kids and ours) folded, dinner is made, groceries bought and put away, and my kids are happy and tired after a day with Cheryl. She is incredibly meticulous, tidy, responsible, and organized and I have no doubt you would see that right away. Cheryl also stayed with our kids overnight when we had to travel and our kids always begged for more time with “Chel Cherl” when we got back. When I would tell my friends that our nanny not only took care of my kids but cooked for us, cleaned, took care of our dog, did our laundry, ran errands, and so much more, they were floored. She truly is “Mary Poppins” – she can do it all. And with so much energy and care. She’s one of kind. We have so many beautiful and special memories with Cheryl that we will always cherish. And know she will make beautiful and special memories with your family. It is hard to put everything into words to capture just how much Cheryl means to us and the deep love and gratitude we feel for her.
