About Christa

With over 18 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, I've had the opportunity to work with children in traditional preschool environments as well as in-home. Over these years I've studied and extensively practiced early childhood learning philosophies with a social emotional focus. These have included RIE, Waldorf, and Montessori philosophies. With secure attachment being so critical to a child's ability to learn and grow, the foremost priority in all my work is an authentic, trusting relationship with every child. Fostering emotional intelligence and advocating for genuine respect of the whole child is the main goal of any care I provide. I have 9 years of experience developing and implementing emergent curriculum based on each child's needs & interests. By providing open-ended learning opportunities through invitation-to-play & provocation activities, children construct their own knowledge as they observe, create & explore their world around them.
