I am a retired bilingual elementary school teacher. I love inspiring the light of learning in children and help them cultivate their creativity and curiosity. For the last 10 years, I was a school administrator responsible for out-of-school time and college-readiness programs in three SoCal school districts. I led large innovative afterschool and summer learning programs that included standards-based enrichment, use of technology, student leadership, homework help, outdoor learning, experiential learning, and project-based learning. Prior to that, I was also a middle and high school assistant principal. As a bilingual teacher, I worked with diverse students and incorporated hands-on second language instruction for all my students (Spanish & English). I enjoy ceramics, cooking, crafting, cycling, swimming, hiking, camping, and outdoor learning. I, myself, am a life-long learner and enjoy laughing with kids.
