About Christina

I'm a PhD Candidate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I have a huge passion for STEM education and I love to learn new things. I believe it's important to expand outside of our strengths and work hard at things that we enjoy but may not be naturally good at. I have struggled in school before and want to help other students with the things I've learned throughout my education. I have tutored people throughout college and I've been a TA in both science and humanities classes. My current position allows me to spend a lot of one on one time with college students teaching lab skills. I'd describe my personality as patient, kind, enthusiastic. I like tutoring because I love one on one or small group teaching and I enjoy watching students finally understand things that were previously difficult for them. In my spare time, I like to read, and listen to music. I also play two instruments and sing in a local choir.
