I began my career of caring for children while living in Ireland in 2006! I made this choice after a decade of working in business environments. It was the most rewarding career choice I've ever made! While in Ireland, I worked for 2 families. Both had multiple children aged 5 months old to 5 years old. The only reason I left these families was due to relocation. They were absolutely full time positions beginning at 7 a.m. and leaving at 5 p.m. Upon returning to California, my decision to work as a nanny did not waive. To me, it is one of the most honorable and respectable things a person can do with their time (care for the well being of children). Currently, I am employed full time by a family in Atherton with 3 children. I have been with them for over a year and a half. The children are much older (6, 9 and 11)! I feel that with the range in ages I have cared for (and am caring for). I have experienced a wide range of opportunities with which to provide care.
