About Christine

I am first and foremost a young child advocate. My view of children is shaped by constructivism, progressive Montessori philosophy and the prepared environments of Reggio Emelia. I also worked for a number of years as an early childhood education advocate, organizer and lobbyist. I most recently worked at PSU's Helen Gordon School. My experience is diverse. I am Montessori Certified and worked as a lead guide for nearly a decade. I taught in Reggio Emelia inspired environments for four years and traveled the country for three years as an organizer for the AFT. I earned a child and family studies BA from PSU and my Montessori Teaching Certificate from the MIA. Now I am a full time mom wanting to change gears. My Goldilocks scenario is working in your home with one or two children and my sweet toddler Esther, your willingness to let me bring my daughter makes my rate affordable.
