About Christy

I am a full-time 7th, 9th, and 10th grade English teacher at a private school in Manhattan. I have over 10 years teaching experience, and have privately tutored students from 2nd through 12th grades over the last 15 years. My full-time teaching experience includes: -High School (9-12) English - 3 years -Middle Grade (5-8) English, General Education- 4 years -8th grade ELA, Special Education- 4 years I have covered the following subjects during my teaching experience: literature (grades 5-12), Regents prep (grade 11), reading (phonics, decoding, fluency, comprehension for grades 2-5), reading interventions (grades 6-8), and general education literature for grade 8. I have extensive experience in constructing curriculum for use across grade-level classrooms in both charter and private school settings.
