About Claire

Hello, my name is Claire! I'm a Seattle native and the youngest of four. My older sister, Emily, has Down Syndrome and severe autism, and growing up I helped care for her. This involved bathing, dressing, feeding, giving medication, and supporting her daily needs. I'm considering going into ABA, OT, or speech pathology and hope to gain experience with children beyond my sister. I understand both the challenges and joys of caregiving for a special needs child. I am reminded of moments of frustration like Emily refusing to get off the bus, but also moments of pure happiness, like her swinging on the play set for hours. I also know how important the right caregiver is. I want to be someone who actively engages your child through outings, community interaction, and life-skill development. While new to nannying, I bring a lifetime of caregiving experience and look forward to supporting your family.
