About Colleen

Hello Families! My name is Colleen and I live in Maynard. I hold a B.A in early childhood education, with a concentration in preschool education. I worked as a toddler teacher form 2009-2011 when I left to begin nannying. In between, I worked with a preschool literacy program called Jumpstart, preparing children of low income families for kindergarten readiness from 2010-2011, and again from 2012-2013. I also interned in a pre-kindergarten classroom for 1 year as part of my degree requirements. Most recently I worked as a preschool/pre-k teacher from 2014-2015. I am CPR/First Aid certified, as well as EEC teacher certified in infant and toddler classrooms, and lead teacher certified in preschool and pre-k classrooms. My favorite part about working with nanny families is the open communication and strong bond between myself and the family, which is vital when working with young children. My favorite children's book is The Giving Tree, and I love spending time outside, especially in the warmer months.
