I've spent many a days with those with special needs and the elderly hold a special place in my heart due to the death of my grandmother with Alzheimer's Disease. Therefore, I had spent many years helping take care of her. I also had a volunteer job in which I mostly provided Respite Care. I've done work with those who have had different special needs and I have also been a private contractor at one time with a client who I helped with bathing and other physical assistance. While most of my experience right now is in the mental health field, I'm well equipped to handle those with special needs related to dementia. I just enjoy spending time with the elderly in general because of the richness of the life experiences that they have to share. I always try to maintain professionalism in all I do and never forget the degree of compassion and hospitality that this honor entails.
